F.Edge was founded in 2008, operating on the premise that design should be universal, and able to speak across race, creed, and gender. Operated by Aditya Khandelwal & Pallab Baruah, the company creates apparel which blends Indian Traditional culture and western culture in a balanced form. In essence, “It fuses Traditional design with a modern touch of embroidery and detailing, and an appealing colour palette in both Ready-to wear & Haute Couture. Each garment is carefully contemplated, designed, handmade and tagged along with the official Company signature at completion.
Aditya and Pallab graduated from International Institute of Fashion Design, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. They won the Best Designer Award & Most Innovative Collection in the year 2007 during INIFD Annual Fashion show. They started their professional life as a Choreographer and did shows with Brand like SPYKAR & KINGFISHER getting huge success there. They presented their collection in New Delhi Best Bar Restaurant like PICCADELHI & Hotel Metropolitan Nikko.Their collection represented India in South African Embassy for the South African Independence Day Celebration. They also worked as a Asst. to India’s Famous designer Manav Gangwani.
They also bring laurels to their college by winning Best collection in all IIT’s and almost all major Inter-College Fashion Competition in New Delhi from year 2005 till 2007.
The magic continues outside India also when Aditya went to the Fashion Capital of the World ‘Milan’ for the Master in Fashion and Textile design. There he did projects with Brand like Puma, designed and developed their collection. After he completed his Masters he was awarded for scoring Highest percentage of Marks in the year 2008.There he also made collaboration with many Italian and French Fabric companies like Alcantara, Linea Tessile, Tessilidea Spa, Lanificio Piemontese,Tessitura Majocchi Spa, Morelli, Pizval etc.
By the time Pallab, went into the depths of understanding designing, Experimenting and started working as a freelance designer. He designed Spring/Summer2009 Men’s wear collection for Brands like SPENCER’S. He also worked for CANTABIL International PVT. LTD as a Designer providing wardrobe, fabric and colour consultation and specializing in fashionable denim wear. He was Awarded the “EXCELLENCE for DESIGN PROCESS” from National Institute of Fashion Design, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, He was also awarded for participation of Art Work-SIGH OF RELIEF (painting) during 1st All Assam Artists Art Exhibition, 2004, held at Jorhat, Assam and the Prestigious ‘Assam Company Memorial Scholarship-1997’.
F.Edge is the outcome of hard work and devotion of these two Young Designers coming from different parts of India, having different cultural background and who gained experience in almost every stage from Designing to Production.
